Earth Stabilization

The stability of a selected site is contingent on a number of variables, with the on site soil being the constant. Water is the main source of instability for all soil types. To control and stabilize any area, the soil type must be identified in conjunction with the determination of the cause of instability.

Moisture Barriers

The moisture barrier is used to control the transfer of excess moisture from the outside in and the inside out. A thorough understanding of the effects of the moisture barrier system and its desired function dictates the selection of the correct moisture barrier product. Moisture barrier systems have been used for years beneath slab foundations for homes and state highway projects.

Some barriers are formed chemically and others are installed in sheets of polysynthetic or a single synthetic fabric. The moisture barrier used correctly can assist in the stabilization of supporting soils for foundations, driveways, and other structural installations as well as controlling the humidity level in the crawl space of a home.

Reinforced Earth Structures

Earth reinforcement provides an alternative to the installation of "Hard-surface" retaining walls for steep slopes or the use of piers for soft or troublesome soil conditions. The reinforcement can be accomplished by the use of Geo-textiles, Cellular Containment and a variety of chemical resins.

Retaining Walls

The variety of retaining wall systems, styles, and textures is limited only by the imagination. Walls are divided into basic structural categories. This categorization provides a variety of structures which can be used at each location. The desired appearance and structural integrity required direct the selection of the most prudent wall installation for the proposed project repair.
